The 2011 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Stroke Society of Australasia has the theme “Challenges in the New Millennium: Prevention, Thrombolysis & Repair!”. The conference is intended for health professionals, researchers and academics interested in ensuring that people with stroke receive the best available care. The conference will showcase research spanning stroke prevention and primary care pathways, stroke epidemiology, acute interventions and imaging, rehabilitation, and the basic science of stroke including genetics, stem cell therapies and neuroplasticity. The meeting will include eminent international and national invited speakers, a full program of workshops, free papers and interactive poster sessions.
