Target Audience
Primary care physicians, nurses and other health care
professionals involved or interested in the care of the
cardiovascular patient.

Course Description
This year’s dynamic program will focus on a variety of
topics related to cardiovascular disease. Topics include
advances in the prevention, treatment, and management
of cardiovascular disease, the effect of obesity in children
and an innovative exercise program called Conductorcise.
The conference also provides an opportunity to
network with colleagues and to learn more about the
CardioVascular Institute of North Colorado.

Course Objectives
At the completion of the conference the participant will
be able to:
1. Discuss the benefits of radial access for diagnostic and
interventional procedures.
2. Discuss traditional and emerging risk factors for
cardiovascular disease, with specific reference to
primordial, primary, and secondary prevention
3. Summarize common treatment strategies in the
management of patients with supraventricular
tachycardia.
4. Identify obesity related comorbidities and treatment
approaches in children and adolescents.
5. Describe and illustrate how music conducting
techniques can relieve stress and build stamina.
6. Examine general nutrition and lifestyle
recommendations for decreasing cardiac risk among all
population groups.
7. Describe treatment modalities for severe heart failure.
